Kenlyn Christmas

This is the sixth year I've ridden at Kenlyn, and also the sixth year Mary Jo and I have staged a Kenlyn Christmas photo shoot.

I didn't have any idea what I was doing the first year, and it showed. 

The next year was better...

But it wasn't until 2015 when we really hit our stride. That was the year we started building our photo shoot around one specific Christmas prop.

Since then, we've had a snowman,

a Hawaiian Santa...

and a Christmas tree. 

We hadn't decided what we were going to do this year until fate intervened in the form of Joanie. She is the new owner of my old friend, Samson, and it just so happens that she owns a professional Mrs. Claus outfit.

So this year, Mrs. Claus came to Kenlyn.

She read books to all the good little mares and geldings.

Twas the night before Christmas...

and all through the barn...

Not a creature was stirring...

Not even a... Oh, Scarlett!

Also: Oh, Lucy.

After the book, there were treats.

The horses really enjoyed this part of the photo shoot.

Even Scarlett... 

and Lucy were on their best behavior!

Thank you, Joanie Mrs. Claus. This just might have been our best Christmas photo shoot yet!

I don't know how Mary Jo and I are going to top this next year, but I'm sure we'll think of something!
