A nice day for a white wedding

Two years ago, Heather's longtime boyfriend, Josh, commandeered the microphone during the lunch break at Eerie Equine Live and proposed to her in front of the entire show hall.

It was a great moment.
And of course, she said yes.
There was talk of a BreyerFest wedding, but that was mostly just talk. In reality, no one was in a hurry, at least not until earlier this month.
Today was the day, so of course it snowed.
We met at the courthouse at noon.
Despite being called for jury duty approximately one thousand times, I've never been to this courthouse.
It's quite nice.
Heather's dress was perfect, and she looked amazing.
Amazing.

Once everyone was assembled, the ceremony began.

It was my favorite kind of wedding: short and sweet.
Vows and rings were exchanged.
Documents were signed.
Heather and Josh were proclaimed wife and husband.
After it was official, we headed out to the rotunda for pictures.
So...
many...
pictures!
Not gonna lie: This is my favorite.
Then it was on to - where else? - BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse for lunch.
There were drinks.
There were pictures.
There were more drinks.
There was cake.
It was fabulous.
The whole thing was fabulous.
Thank you so much, Heather and Josh, for letting me be a part of this. I love you both, and I am so happy for you.

Seth's rocking horse

Seth is a bargain shopper. Thrift shops, yard sales, the free listings on Craigs List... they're all a problem. It doesn't matter whether or not he needs something or not. If the price is right, he just can't help himself.

This is why there's an ancient snowmobile currently parked in our driveway
I told him early on that he didn't need to buy me horses.

"I'm more than capable of buying them for myself," I said, gesturing at my overflowing shelves. "Plus, I'm kind of picky."

Over the years, he's mostly respected that request.

Mostly.

Every now and then, he just can't stop himself, and I end up with something really weird. Here's the most recent transgression.
At first glance, it doesn't look too bad.
Just your average, run of the mill, crudely carved, toy rocking horse.
Then you get to the hooves. It's a little hard to tell from the photo, but that's a horse hoof on the left and a cloven hoof on the right.
The hind hooves look okay from the front.
Less so from behind.
I don't collect rocking horses, and this one isn't even my preferred scale.
I have no idea what I did to deserve this!
The rocking horses has been hanging out in my hobby area for a couple months now, which is more than long enough. If anyone here is interested in this cursed beast, I'd be happy to send it to you for Seth's favorite price. Otherwise, it's going back to the thrift shop!

Fleas

If for no reason except I took 'em so I'm going to share 'em, here are the rest of my photos from the Rose Bowl Flea Market. As always, I wonder: What would you have bought?
