Tricksy treats

I asked readers to contribute photos to my annual Halloween post, and almost immediately, the pictures came flooding in. All of them were outstanding, but one group really caught my attention. These images by Amber Herrell are absolutely amazing.

They are also absolutely not traditional, no Photoshop allowed model horse show photos. Clearly, there is a lot of skillful editing involved.

I asked her how she created them, and this is her explanation: I use the PhotoDirector editing app on my phone. I take a photo of my model in my light box, then cut their image out in the app and edit it into a background photo. I try to make sure to add in shadows and other details to try to make it as realistic as possible.

You can view more of Amber's work on her Instagram account. Trust me, it's worth a follow.

Thank you, Amber, and Happy Halloween!

Horsey Halloween

October is the best month, and Halloween is one of the best holidays. Life got in the way of me taking any new Halloween hobby photos this year, but fortunately, lots of other people were there to fill in the gap. Here's a blast of seasonal spoopiness from Braymere blog readers. Enjoy!
