The TJS Performance Challenge Lending Library

There are sixteen people signed up to participate in the Jennifer Show Performance Challenge. Most of these people are serious performance showers, with deep tack/prop/doll collections and years of experience.
And then there's Kenzie Williamson.
By her own admission, Kenzie is a complete performance novice. She has shown a tacked up model one time and owns a single tack set. She decided to participate in the Performance Challenge because it sounded like fun, and she is hoping other showers will let her borrow enough bits and pieces to field an entry in every class.

I can't tell you how much I admire her gumption.

The Performance Challenge is only eleven classes, but it's going to be tough. The chosen model is kind of tricky, and I suspect that even the experienced showers are going to need a little help. With that in mind, I've created a lending library just for this event. It will include tack, props, dolls and documentation, all of which has been specifically chosen for this horse and this class list.

Need an easy entry for the Harness class?
This ground driving set (saddle not included) might be just the ticket.
I can't show you anything else, because it might provide clues. However, it's possible that a few of my most recognizable pieces will also find their way into the library.
Every entrant will have a chance to borrow one or more items, but it's not a free for all. After the regular performance classes on Saturday, Liesl and I are going to handicap the field. The people who need the most help are going first, and the champions will go last. In this way, I am hoping to even the playing field just a little bit.

Good luck, Kenzie. May the odds be ever in your favor!

  1. As someone who just shipped off a box of performance tack & props, I couldn't agree more.

But I would never mix alcohol with a raccoon...

  2. BaHaHAha! I will see if I can’t come up with a few more goodies for the lending library! :)
