Pride tack

It's been more than three months since I went to a hobby or craft shop.
my favorite craft store in Stuttgart, Germany
It's a small sacrifice in a year of big losses, but I miss craft stores so much.
A couple weeks ago, I was buying groceries, and a flash of color caught my eye. My initial reaction was, "Craft items!" However, closer inspection revealed it to be a Pride Month display.
But that's almost the same thing, right? After all, the seasonal aisle is one of my favorite parts of the craft store.
And all of these things look pretty crafty.
Yep, that's coming home with me!
The shoelaces became a breastcollar and cinch...
and the sash became a simple saddle pad.
There's a lot of room to "grow" this set-up, but I'm pleased with my grocery store finds.
Next time I go food shopping, I'm going to buy the feather boa!

  1. That is a giant rainbow flag! I really love all the rainbow. I recently when to the craft store as well, and it was so fun!

  2. This set is so cute! I'm imagining a whole performance setup for an entry in the Pride parade, or a float for a queer horsemanship club at some other parade, or a gay rodeo scene!

    1. Ha! I am also imagining these things. After all, I've already fielded a sixteen model pink parade entry. Anything is possible.

  3. Love the creativity! Also slightly unrelated - saw this post on recently discovered ancient Mongolian tack and thought you might be interested

  4. Love it -- all that rainbow tack is really attractive, and I love the performance possibilities. Also, I just love the way you think!

  5. Perfect for the day. With Pawprint, I do love the way you think! I've had a rainbow cinch all this time, but never thought of expanding the theme.

  6. Oohhh I do want some rainbow shoelaces to play with! Love what you did here!
