As I work on my basement hobby space...
I've been thinking about all the horse rooms I've had the privilege of visiting.
Some rooms are absolutely overflowing with horses. |
| Fran Lowe's hobby room |
Others are elegant and spare with lots of space. Some include studios.
 |
| Fabian Rodriguez's hobby room |
Some are studios.
Some are big and spacious and specifically designed to be a hobby space.
Others aren't really hobby rooms, as much as hobby areas incorporated into other living spaces. |
| Tara Reich's hobby room |
How many people do I know who have a curio cabinet with horses in their living room?So many!
 |
| Heather Malone's hobby room |
Tiffany's hobby room takes up the entire basement of her house and includes lots of comfortable seating.
 |
| Tiffany Purdy's hobby room |
I don't think my old/new basement space will ever look as nice as some of these rooms. |
| Angelo Žunić's hobby room |
Still, I am excited about the possibilities!
So many beautiful horse rooms!!! Oh, to have a space like that one day…. Good luck with yours Jennifer!!!!

ReplyDeleteI *love* your basement! I love the color of the carpet! (but I like neutral colors anyway!) The only thing that would concern me would be spilling paint or any kind of chemicals on it!!
Of all the hobby rooms you've shown, I like Fran Lowe's the best!!(dust bunnies and all!!)
You wanna know how to have a curio cabinet in a living space---I invite you to come visit my apt. !! I have 2 8 ft ones surrounded by at least 6 bookcases(or more) in less than 500 square feet of room!! I'm the epitome of "where's there a will--there's a way!!"(haha!)
I won't be using the basement hobby area as a studio, so I'm not worried about spills. There is a photo table down there, but otherwise it's just a comfortable place for the horses to live.
DeleteOooooWheee--one thing I'd like to have in my horse room is Regan OKeefe's horse prints and Kim Brandner's horses!!
