One and a half year Oliversary

Olive and I celebrated our eighteen month anniversary today.

It's been a while since we've had new under saddle pictures, but as luck would have it, my best friend, Carol, is in town for a conference this week. She accompanied me to the barn this morning and took some photos.

Because of last week's rain and a weekend trip to Sand Wash Basin, it's been more than a week since I rode Olive in the ring.

She started out stiff and tense, and even though the footing was okay, she obviously did not like it.

I rode her just enough to get her soft and comfortable.

Then we headed out to the retention pond.

She was much happier out there.

Good pony.

After the ride, we treated her to an anniversary butt rub.

Have I mentioned how much this pony loves butt rubs? It's truly ridiculous.
