Although it ended on a high note, April was not a very good month for me.
It felt like I spent the entire month putting out fires in different parts of my life.
It was sad, frustrating, infuriating and exhausting.

| The most needed drink ever. Thank you, Tara. |
It could have been so much worse.
Right at the beginning of April, I pulled a giant tack out of Olive's hoof. It happened at the height of the barn drama, and I thought - on top of everything else - my horse was crippled for life.
She wasn't.
Not even a little bit."Wanna see my feet, Mom?"
"There they are!"
Yee haw.
Granted, there was a lot of good care after the fact. Still, I don't know how we got that lucky.
Olive saw the farrier on Thursday and got a clean bill of hoof health. There was no evidence of injury, just nice, healthy feet.
Shoes are on for the summer. We're ready to hit the trail.
April was a crappy month, but it could have been so much worse. I am so thankful for my happy, healthy pony and am looking forward to a much better May.

Oh wow! So glad that wasn't worse. Olive is such a frisky pony. I just love her! AC
ReplyDeleteAgreed!!! You can definitely see the mustang in her!
DeleteBy the way, AC, I changed the settings on my blog so that you can comment even without a google account. :)
