In the same way that last month was really bad, this month has been really busy.
Last weekend, Seth, Piper and I loaded up the van and drove to the northwestern corner of Colorado.
We spent three days and two nights exploring Sand Wash Basin, Maybell and the surrounding areas. It was an amazing weekend of soaring highs...and crashing lows.
As my friend, Karen, would say, now that it's over, I enjoyed every minute.
This weekend, my best friend Carol and I packed up my car and spent one night and two days in the Colorado Springs area.
This trip was a lot less complicated...and also, surprisingly tack-filled.
Between last weekend and this one, I think I'm going to be editing pictures for the rest of my life. That's okay. I have no doubt it will be worth it.
In the meantime, I have a whole bunch of cute donkey pictures from an unexpected source.Seth and I lent Ryan and his girlfriend, Sarah, our van and trailer, so they could go camping at Eleven Mile State Park in Lake George, Colorado this weekend.I've never been there. In fact, I've never heard of it.Between last weekend and this one, I think I'm going to be editing pictures for the rest of my life. That's okay. I have no doubt it will be worth it.
Imagine my surprise when I got a text from Ryan asking if there were wild donkeys in Colorado.
I wasn't sure, so I did a quick google search, and yes, Eleven Mile State Park is known for it's free roaming but not terribly wild donkeys. So now I need to go there.Until I do, I will get my (semi) wild donkey fix by watching this video clip over and over and over. Sorry, Sarah, I know you are not a horse girl, but this is hilarious.
Pictures from the other two weekend trips coming soon. I promise they will be worth the wait.
