Bobbie gave me box of tiny Japanese candles.
I didn't have a use for them at the time, but I knew they'd come in handy eventually.
One of the classes at the Winter Fun Photoshow is called "Major Meltdown." That sounded like a perfect excuse to break out the candles. I lined them up on top of an old piece of fence and lit them.
I was hoping the wax would roll down the edge of the fence as they melted, but that didn't happen.
Instead, they quickly burnt themselves down to nothing and charred my fence. I saw what was going on, so Nejmet was removed before things got too scary. Still, this really could have been a major meltdown!
Here's the picture I'm entering in the show.
This is the first time I've used fire in a model horse photo, but it won't be the last. This show also has a class called "Fire and Ice," and boy, do I have ideas!
