Photo showing is hard

I have spent most of the day taking pictures for the Mares in Black Spooktacular Photo Show.

A few of them are fairly straight-up halter and performance photos.
The majority, however, are decidedly quirky.
Octopurdy's "Drama Llama" entry
Love N Stuff is my consistency performance horse, so I took several of her. This is "Flying High!"
And this is "Sliding Scale."
I've had this little scale for a really long time. Who knew it would one day be so useful?
Here's the most complicated entry I've put together so far. This is Love N Stuff's attempt at "Action Park."
I'd hoped to enter every class, but with the October 15 deadline rapidly approaching, it's clear that's not going to happen. I still have a lot of great ideas, but photo showing is hard. We'll see how many of them I get to.

  2. I keep psyching myself out. I really want to enter the performance classes but don’t have anything nearly nice enough. Got to try and ‘rip the bandaid’!

    1. I'm in the same quandary! I am working on an (excessively) mediocre tack set. Maybe I can make it work!

  3. I love the look Love N Stuff has on her face in sliding scale!

  4. Before I read this post, I was looking at the entries in the Mares in Black show. I can almost always tell which ones are yours - they're so well done, clear, often make me smile, and are simply wonderful!

    1. Thank you! I am having so much fun taking them, I just wish I had started a little sooner.
