Almost wordless Wednesday, part two

I'm easily distracted by shiny things, especially horse-shaped shiny things.  Even though I always intend to take pictures of people at a live show, my camera is inevitably drawn to the show tables instead.  Fortunately, Nick Grahn doesn't have this problem.  Some of his best Springamathing photos featured humans rather than horses.  Here are a few of my favorites.  Enjoy!

    I'm not sure I want to know what you were doing in that photo :)

    I do like the ass end view of my saddle seat doll and horse though :D

    I *think* I was explaining to Lu why I didn't place her mostly excellent keyhole entry higher, but it really looks like I'm putting a beat down on someone's entry. #AngryJudge

    I's sorry that I have to ask this on your blog, but a totally out of place question: Which Breyer horse is better for performance? The San Domingo mold or Lady Phase? I would like your imput because you are a judge. Thanks!

      Generally speaking, they're more or less equivalent. Lady Phase is standing square (an easy pose to work with) but her head is up, her nose is out and she looks sleepy. San Domingo is walking nicely (albeit without energy), but his nose is way out and his head is tilted. Neither one of these is prime performance material but neither is impossible. Lady Phase is probably a bit easier, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd go with San Domingo. This is mostly because I have a serious sentimental attachment to the original version and I prefer to show models that I love rather than just like.

    Thank you so much! That was very helpful. I think I like San Domingo better, and I was doing a trade and was wondering if my friends Lady Phase was better for Performance. I am in Novice in MEPSA and I kind of need an easy horse to show with. Thanks again for your help!
