Putting the custom in Braymere Custom Saddlery

It's been nearly fifteen years since first I adopted the Braymere Custom Saddlery studio name.  At the time, I'd only sold a few small pieces of tack and had never taken any sort of custom orders.  Adding the word "custom" to Braymere Saddlery felt a little pretentious, but without it my studio initials were "B.S."

And, you know, I really did not want my studio initials to be "B.S."

Nowadays, nearly everything I make is a custom order.  However, there's custom and then there's custom.  Jane's newly completed hunter set is about as custom as it gets.
This set was designed to be a miniature version of Jane's daughter's tack.
Here's Marianne's saddle...
and here's the 1:9 scale version.
 Big bridle...
little bridle.  Note the beaded and padded browband, padded noseband, "brass" name tag and raised and laced reins.
Marianne rides her horse in a martingale...
so I made one of those, too.
Although Marianne's real martingale doesn't have a rubber stopper, I couldn't stand to leave it off.  Even on a custom order, the tackmaker gets to make a few decisions!
Hope this was worth the wait, Jane!  You have no idea how much I appreciate your patience!
