Vicky's Lone Star Live photos

Year after year, Sue P. Stewart's Lone Star Live in Fort Worth, Texas is one of the biggest and most competitive live shows on the NAMHSA calendar.  Because there are so many top notch performance showers in Texas, the performance classes are especially deep.  Today's photos come courtesy of Vicky Norris and depict several of her performance mounts strutting their stuff in BCS tack.
First up is this super cute Jasmine resin which was sculpted by Melanie Miller and painted by Chris Nandell Flint.  She is wearing a pack saddle set made by me and is paired with a Rose Reiner which was painted by Jennifer Scott.  Vicky dressed the doll.
Here's that Reiner again...
and again!  His rider was dressed by Joan Yount.
Vicky also showed another Sarah Rose resin the AR/CM performance division.  This lovely Lone Star was painted by Sue Kern.
He had a good day!
Vicky's winning ways continued on OF Performance day with this cute little Stone "Design a Horse" pony.
Love the Hunter Pace entry!
And just so you know--Vicky is an accomplished tackmaker in her own right.  She specializes in Western tack and costumes and is well known for her parade saddles.  Here's one...
and another.  Both are beautiful!
Congratulations, Vicky and thanks so much for sharing your pictures!

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE the Lonestar!!!!!!! He's STUNNING!! And the Reiner is very nice too, and the pack setup, is that meant to be a Breyer in the sack??!!

Well Done Vicky, your horses are gorgeous, and it looks like you did well!

  3. Thanks Jennifer!
Yes, the little yellow box is a Breyer mini whinnie depicting a NIB Breyer! It was made for me by Shelly Verstuyft.
This is the second paint job on my Lonestar and I think I like him better as a palomino than as a gray!

  4. I wonder if Shelly would make me a couple Breyer boxes like that? I'm pretty sure I could find a couple mini whinnie's floating around my studio if I looked hard enough!

I remember the Lone Star when he was grey and I think he looks great in both colors!
