New camera

It's been almost three months since my beloved Nikon D50 took its last photo.
In the time since then, I've been using a borrowed Kodak point and shoot.
Because I really appreciated the loan, I've tried not to complain too much about the little camera's limitations.  Still, it's been a long three months, and I am SO GLAD the wait is finally over.  As of yesterday, I am the proud owner of a brand new Nikon D90.
I'm still figuring out all the new features, but I am so darn happy with my new toy.  Expect several image heavy posts in the next week.  After all, the Stock Show is coming to town!

  1. Sweet camera! I bet that burned a hole in your pocket - it would in mine! I can't wait to see some of it's pictures!

  2. I was fortunate that I only had to buy the camera body. I am using all my old lenses so that was a significant savings. Still, that camera represents several months worth of saddle sales!

  5. Waaah, D90!! I love my d60 but a D90!!
The only thing I could complain about it is that the video does not autofocus, especially important when videoing horses moving :C

  8. Nice! So, how did you originally learn to use yours? I would love to invest in a "real" camera someday...

  12. Contratulations! That's a real nice camera! I own a (small) Nikon too and I love it! Sadly, it's getting old, my newer computer doesn't like that camera....

  13. Lovely!! I'm a Nikonian myself, just getting into model horse photo showing (found your blog from the board at MEPSA group), and LOVE my D80 (your camera's predecessor). I'm saving my pennies and 100's for a D7000 :)

  14. How funny. I upgraded to a D90 after my D50 started to do weird things. The D50 still works, it just isn't reliable.
