Bad day

Have you ever had one of those days where everything is twice as difficult as it needs to be?

That's been my day today. I'm working on an English saddle. Those are usually easy for me, but this one has been one problem after another. I am ready to just sweep the whole entire mess off my desk and into the trash can.I won't really do that of course, but trust me... I'm tempted!

  1. Definitely know the feeling, sorry you're having one of those days. Whatever's not going well isn't obvious from the picture though!

  3. Wow! I think a lot of us had a wacky day. Was it just a universal Monday or what?! Maybe it's moon's gravitational effect or something :). Hope you have a better one tomorrow!

  4. Wow, we're all pretty much on the same page. Yesterday I was trying to wrap up a model and it was like I was learning to paint for the first time.

    Stupid alignment of the planets.:)

  5. I couldn't skive today. I cut every piece I tried, so gave up! Sorry your day was so bad.

  6. had that just the other day- I started on an english saddle the night before and it was going so well I was tempted to stay up late and keep going but I forced myself to bed thinking that it would be best to let the glue that I had been using fully dry anyway before I added more to the saddle.

The next morning I wake up fully optimistic and manage to BUTCHER everything I touched that day- sciving through leather, holes not punched straight, pattern pieces cut wrong, things that I had assembled yesterday were actually too big/too small for their place on the saddle... NOTHING went right. Just one of those days...

  7. *hugs*! Yep. Had those days before. (like spending 15 eye-straining, hand-cramping, back-spasming minutes tugging, poking, and trimming a bridle strap, only to put it on the horse and find that it STILL. DOESN'T. FIT.)
