My pony is wearing a brand new pair of open front jumper boots. His cannon bones are a bit short and thick and the tucked up position makes them seem even shorter. I compensated for this by changing the shape of the boots a bit so they dip down behind the knee. I think it worked out well. It's a bit hard to see, but all the straps have working tongue buckles.
I am also delighted to report that Newsworthy is almost exactly the same size as the Stone Pony (another OF mold I'm particularly fond of). As you can see in the above picture, their total body lengths are very similar. Newsworthy is a bit more robust in the girth area (he's about a centimeter wider) and his head is shorter and coarser. Still, I see absolutely no reason why tack made specifically for one wouldn't fit the other equally well with just a few small adjustments. I love it when that happens!
