Six month Oliversary

Yesterday, Olive and I celebrated our six month Oliversary.

Although I don't have much in the way of photographic evidence, Olive and I have made great strides under saddle. We canter on nearly every ride, and our little baby trail rides are getting a little less babyish.
Look at her go! So brave!
As always, it's the non riding things that challenge Olive the most. This month we've worked on spray bottles...
not a fan
and trailer loading.
No surprise, Olive much prefers the trailer.
She's not afraid of the trailer itself.
After two short sessions, her front half is loading just fine. If I really pushed her, I'm pretty sure I could get the back half to follow suit. There's no pressing reason to do that, however. As with everything else, I'm letting Olive set the pace.
Perhaps this month's most exciting development is the transition from winter to woolies...
to summer splendor.
She's not all the way there yet,
and her coat color changes with the light,
but there's no denying these dapples.
I am obsessed.
So pretty!
Happy six month month anniversary, Olive. I can't believe how far we've come. I can't wait to see how far we go.
