The prompt for the Shelter & Share Photo Challenge was "Other hobbies - What are you up to?" I have been spending a lot of time taking model horse photos, but Cookie is all about pajamas, puzzles, potato chips, coffee, brownies and books.

Today's photos + free raffle
Today is Earth Day. Here is my Earth Day photo for the April Photo Challenge.
I've made a lot of small tack and prop items for these photo challenges.
As is usually the case, I ended up with a lot of extras.
I could keep these, but I think it would be more fun to give them away. From now until the end of April, every comment left on this blog will equal one raffle entry. Old post, new post, multiple posts--it just doesn't matter. All comments count, but if you're posting anonymously, be sure to include your name.The winner will get everything on the table - but not the table itself! - plus whatever else I might decide to include. How on earth did you make the tiny puzzle????
ReplyDeleteI found the printable online. The loose pieces (and their empty spaces) were cut our very carefully with a sharp x-acto knife.

ReplyDeleteI used this tutorial to get started. I used my own pattern and glue instead of double sided tape, but basically, this is how I did it.
DeleteP.S. I was going to make two, but it was really fiddley and I decided one was enough. Maybe double sided tape would have been better!
I just went and read the pinata tutorial you shared and I see it instructs people to cut a tiny hole, and actually fill it with confetti! Can you imagine doing all that work to make those and then having people smash them? OMG.
DeleteI learned a lot from the one I made, and I suspect subsequent pinatas would be a lot easier. That said... If you smash my pinata, I'm going to smash you!
