It started at A Midwinter Night's Ball in January 2018. I bought a handful of raffle tickets and won a blue Appaloosa...
and a pink cross-stitch saddle blanket by Robyn Jalbert.
A couple months later, I won the best raffle prize ever at Rocky Mountain Spring Fling.
Fast forward to 2019 and Kylee Parks' Super-CALI-Fragilistic Live. There was a lot of amazing stuff on the raffle table.
I desperately wanted this Jennifer Show medallion painted by Amanda Brock. I think I stuffed twenty tickets into cup, but I was denied. So sad.A few minutes later, however, I won this gorgeous halter by Russian tackmaker, Nataliya Meschurova. Woo hoo!
Which brings us to last Saturday's Candyland Live.
I bought my usual big roll o' raffle tickets and won a clinky medallion by Kristina Lucas-Francis,
a pair of pony pouches made by JB Custom Design and donated by Laurie Green,
a Colorado hospitality package donated by Nancy and Gerald Dement and Heather Malone,
an amazing gaming bridle and breastcollar donated by mini-tackmaker extraordinaire, Anna Helt...
and this wee Maggie Bennett Brightside resin painted and donated by Nae Keller.
My first painted micro! I love her.
It's been a great sixteen months.
Before you condemn me for my unbelievable run of luck or accuse me of selling my child's soul to the devil, let me just say this: I buy a lot of raffle tickets. Holding a show is expensive, especially when it's a big, awesome show like A Midwinter Night's Ball, Rocky Mountain Spring Fling, Super-CALI-Fragilistic or Candyland Live. To the best of my ability, I really want to support these kinds of shows.
So now I buy lots and lots of raffle tickets, and sometimes I get lucky. Funny how that works!

Now I know who got Anna's incredibly cute pink set! The cat on the blanket is amazing.
