Today I did something I've never done before.
I attended...
a live show...
restricted to original finish Breyers!
Technically, I wasn't there as a shower. However, Teresa is campaigning two of my OF models this year so they were showing, even if I wasn't.Pretty Shalimay is now NAN qualified!
Although I do not consider myself to be a true OF collector...
there were several models for which I would gladly clear space on my shelf.
This is definitely one of them!
Showholder and judge, Teresa Fedak, eyeballs a class of Peruvian Pasos.Yep, that was my choice, too!
One thing I really liked about this show was the large number of new showers, including Arts and Crap Day attendees, Sancie and Andie.
Sancie and Andie's showstring with their ribbons.
Although I did come away from this show with a greater appreciation of Original Finish model horse showing, I was also reminded that I will always be a resin and performance girl at heart. This was the view as I first entered the show hall. What do you see?
Here are the three things that jumped out at me--Fabian's new Eberl Cobra mare resin,
Fabian's new Trenzado resin, and Teresa's tack box!
And just so you know I did not come home from this show empty handed. A couple ponies followed me home and they're both awfully Purdy!

What, no Purdy pictures? :D
ReplyDeleteThe Paso is the Del Fuego Conn. model named "Muerte" and owned by me. He's one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteThe Purdy pictures will be up tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI used to have a Del Fuego but I traded him for my Vixen. At the time I thought it was a REALLY GOOD trade, but I admit I felt a little nostalgic when I saw your guy, Nancy. I didn't remember mine being quite that pretty!
:)
Did you get my texts?!?! 'Cuz while Shalimay was a winner, High Lonesome was by far the star :D
ReplyDeletePerhaps next time I'll remember to get him in his BREED class.
I wrote the post *before* I got the text so poor High Lonesome didn't get a mention. He was Collectibility Champ, right? Or Reserve? Either way, it's a giant WOO HOO!
