In addition to boasting three collectibility divisions and three color divisions, Beth McCarley's Beehive Live also included a robust roster of fun classes.
These were held during the lunch break and were judged by popular vote. The first class was Holy Grail, which is self explanatory.
Name with a Story asked competitors to share the story behind their model's name.
I love story classes.
Heh.
After that it was Model with a Story.
It's impossible to beat a Jim West story.Sentimental Model was won by another Jim West story.
Do the Conga was next.
This was the most popular fun class.
The table was filled with little...and not quite as little horses!
OF That Looks Like a Real Horse I Know was a portrait model class for models that were not intended to be portraits. So fun!
Of course, there was an actual Portrait Model class, too.
It was nice to see a dog on the table.I somehow managed to overlook the HSO class entirely, but I more than made up for it with Team Matte/Team Gloss!
This one challenged entrants to create Matte/Glossy pairs of similar models. This was another big class, and it was really fun seeing all the matte/glossy pairs.
I am definitely a member of Team Gloss!
The final class of the Fun division was Bumblebee Costume.
If April hadn't been the worst month in recent memory, I would definitely entered this one. Truth be told, I'm still sad I didn't.Actually, the same could be said for the whole Beehive Live Fun Division. This was a great division, and it got me thinking... Wouldn't it be fun to have an all fun class show?

That would be an awesome show concept.
ReplyDeleteIt could definitely happen. I have a classlist written out, just need to make sure the $$$ work.
