Today the mailman brought a big manila envelope from Breyer and a small box from Lynn Isenbarger.
The envelope contained two copies of this year's Just About Horses magazine, plus a catalog.
Inside Lynn's box, I found Anne Field's Little Elecktra doll, a second pink Braymere blanket and a tiny haversack. Elecktra helped me put the blanket on Jafar. It turns out she's an Arab girl.
Then we opened the haversack.
It contained a little flamingo and one of Lynn's circus ponies.
The pony was immediately claimed by our resident model horse collector. I suspect the flamingo is more of a Jose thing, but only time will tell.
I've been in a bit of a hobby life funk this month, but thanks to Lynn, Anne and Breyer, I feel my motivation returning. Little Elecktra won't be here long. I need to make sure her stay is memorable!

I am really looking forward to whatever adventures Little Elecktra has!
ReplyDeleteShe's expressed interest in a trail ride. We'll see.
DeleteYay! I've been waiting with bated breath for Electra to arrive at your house!
ReplyDeleteDoes Lynn make those little circus horses? I think i have one in a tiny clear box, that I got ages ago--with no name on it. Wish i could find it to get a picture of it...
