I don't know if it's the return of winter weather or the shorter days or the election or missing my dad or all of the above, but I have been feeling really blue lately.
Since I haven't been feeling social, I've mostly stayed off social media. That changed last night when, suddenly, Sarah Townsend's "Ask me anything" challenge dominated my Facebook feed.I got swept up in reading everyone's questions and answers, and eventually decided to participate myself.
I've answered every single question posted so far, and surprisingly, I feel more cheerful today than I've felt all week. Coincidence, perhaps, but on the off chance it isn't, I've decided to extend the "Ask me anything" challenge to blog readers. What do you want to know?

Would you rather make ten simple tack sets or one exquisite set?
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on what else is going on in my life. If I have a whole week of days with long blocks of free time, I'd much rather work on one big project. Small projects fit into busier weeks better.
DeleteWhat's your favorite part of blogging?
ReplyDeleteI could fill an entire post (or three) answering this one. There are so many things I love about blogging, I don't even where to begin!
DeleteI don't have anything to ask, but wanted to send you ((hugs)). <3
ReplyDelete<3's right back at ya, Bobbie!
DeleteWhat has been your favorite hobby post you've written so far? :D
ReplyDeleteI am so bad at picking favorites, and no one post comes to mind but... I really like it when I crack myself up.
DeleteDo you ever put your wonderful work up for sale?
ReplyDeleteI do occasionally, but most of the sales happen on the BCS Facebook page.
DeleteI'm with Jamie, do you think you'll own your own horse again one day?
ReplyDeleteThis isn't something I'm actively working toward right now, but I'm definitely open to the possibility should everything fall into place. So maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell.

How do you do panels?
ReplyDeleteHa! I knew someone was going to ask this!
ReplyDeletePanels are just skiver over tooling leather, sometimes with a little felt added to the mix. The trick isn't so much the what but the how. Even though I've been making them more or less the same way for a decade, it's only recently that I've really figured out how to get the shape I want. And, of course, there's still room for improvement. There's always room for improvement.
How do you get the back so neat with all the folds though?
DeleteThat's a little bit of judicious trimming and a whole lot of practice.
DeleteWho is your favorite model you've painted?
ReplyDeleteSending the pups my love.
I really haven't painted that many models... I suppose my favorite is Navah Joe with Wonderscope being a close second.
DeleteHow did you do rainbow reins?
ReplyDeletePaint!
DeleteWhy didn't I think of that? That's so much simpler than what I was thinking. Thanks!
DeleteWhat do you use for the rubber grips on racing reins?
