The custom division at the BreyerWest Open Show was a wonderful showcase of Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig's customizing career. Due to their age and value, most of these models rarely see the light of day. It was a true privilege to view them in all their glory. Thank you so much to Barb Ness, Diana Patterson and everyone else who brought out their Minks. I loved seeing them!

I believe the 6th photo is a custom Clydesdale Foal by Karen Miller of Bluebird Studio. But all of those ponies are SO pretty. I especially love the grey with the turned head <3
ReplyDeleteI think you're right, and I've removed the photo. There were a couple in this group I wasn't 100% sure of, but I knew my readers would correct any mistakes!

Glad I could help!
DeleteSuch talent Sarah has. I got to see some in person at a live show in Oceanside, CA back in the 90s and even then people oohed and aahed over her customs.
ReplyDeleteGosh I wish I was that talented. I have a couple of sun faded Breyers that I would love to repaint, but I am scared to mess things up!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all these photos of these amazing pieces of art! It's such a great to see them all. :)
ReplyDeleteThe pinto foal is actually a custom by Becky Turner and Cindy Williams! :) The very first one in the series of photos, right after the Mink Arab foal :)
ReplyDeleteGot it. Thanks!
DeleteOh I used to own I'm a Heartbreaker (last photo). Miss him!
ReplyDeleteHe belongs to Betsy Valley now, right? :) Just curious!
DeleteThat sounds right, but I couldn't swear to it. The performance division was keeping me really busy!
