Some (don’t) like it hot

Summer is officially here, and boy, is it hot.

I don't handle heat as well as I once did, plus I've been busy with Carol's retirement festivities.
As a result, Sage has mostly had the week off.
Mostly.
Because I know that Sarah likes to start babies in the indoor, Ive been making an effort to get Sage in there almost every day. When the time comes, I want her to be really, really, really acclimated to that space.
Somedays I walk her in hand. Other times I turn her loose.
Weeee!
The zoomies never last long. It's really hot, plus she's just not that kind of horse.
What she is is bold and curious. She spends most of her time exploring the scary corners and touching all the objects.
While she's doing this, I sit on a mounting block in the middle of the ring.
For the first little bit, she ignores me completely, but eventually, I know I'm going to hear the soft thud of hooves sneaking up behind me.
Who could it be?
Oh! It's Sage.
You're a good pony.
We aren't besties yet, but we're getting there.
Eventually, we'll get back to real work, but for now, this is enough.
I am enjoying chilling with my girl on these long hot days.
