Retirement wrap-up

Carol's retirement week is officially over. She is right now sitting on an airplane, heading home - eventually - to Mississippi.

Her last out-of-town guest left yesterday morning, giving us one last day to spend together.

No surprise, we spent a lot of it at the barn.

It was too hot to go on a long trail walk like we did when Carol first arrived.

Instead, we dressed Sage in some of Carol's leftover tie dye and took pictures.

Carol led her through some obstacles...

and I worked with her at the mounting block.

After that, she went in the field with Sonnet, and we went to the Frontier with Karen. Win/win.

The rest of the day was similarly low-key. Just two friends, hanging out and enjoying each other's company.

Congratulations again, my friend. I am so excited for the next stage of your life. Go home and rest up. Ireland awaits!
