Carol's retirement week is officially over. She is right now sitting on an airplane, heading home - eventually - to Mississippi.
Her last out-of-town guest left yesterday morning, giving us one last day to spend together.
No surprise, we spent a lot of it at the barn.It was too hot to go on a long trail walk like we did when Carol first arrived.Instead, we dressed Sage in some of Carol's leftover tie dye and took pictures.Carol led her through some obstacles...
and I worked with her at the mounting block. After that, she went in the field with Sonnet, and we went to the Frontier with Karen. Win/win.
The rest of the day was similarly low-key. Just two friends, hanging out and enjoying each other's company.
Congratulations again, my friend. I am so excited for the next stage of your life. Go home and rest up. Ireland awaits!
