NaMoPaiMo day twenty two

It's the twenty second day of NaMoPaiMo.

We are painting.

We are learning.

We are having fun.

Holly Mason writes: I DID IT! I didn't think I would, but I did. I wasn't going to join in this year. It has been a long year, and we're only in February. But after speaking to some friends within the hobby, I decided to just sign up. If I didn't complete him then that was that, and that was OKAY! I told myself I wouldn't and couldn't finish, and I had already accepted it. I had already lost my want to paint anything, so I couldn't really lose anything by just signing up. The commitment of just doing that gave me the want to at least make a start, and then somehow I found my want to paint again, which lead to finishing him!

Now, he's only a micro. I get it... He's not huge. A micro should be do able, but for some of us life is just hard right now. He's not perfect, BUT I'm proud and happy. 

Signing up to NaMoPaiMo has not just given me my want to paint back, it's given me a focus and has created memories I didn't expect. My son and spent the whole of our week off (so far) in the Studio painting ponies and Warhammer. Nothing puts a smile on my face more than the time I've had with him off his computer, not moaning his board, complaining about the weather. He sat next to me, painting away, sculpting, creating memories. It cost me a little because he'ss already finished his little Orc Army, but I don't care, I'm in a better place for it and I LOVE that he's a little mini me (most of the time).

So THANK YOU to all you joining in, posting, commenting, liking photos or simply just being here. Without knowing, you're sending positive vibes to everyone, even to those you don't know. You're helping those quiet ones, who maybe struggling with ponies or life in general. You're having a positive impact. This is more than just a hobby. It's an escape for some and right now I need that and I'm truly grateful. ❤️

Thank you for writing that, Holly. I am so glad you decided to join and found your joy in painting again. Bonus points for roping your son in, too! You may be one of the quiet ones, but you are also the NaMoPaiMo Champion of the Day.
