Yesterday was database day. Ryan and I sat down and ran the numbers for NaMoPaiMo 2024. Here's the breakdown for this year's event.
Six hundred ninety one people signed up to paint a horse in February. This is a good number, but also, a big drop compared to previous years.
Fifteen percent of us are first time painters, eight percent are professionals and the vast majority falls somewhere in between.

- Beginners - 205
- Intermediates - 229
- Advanced Amateur - 127
- Professional - 84

This year the Sarahs edged out the Jennifers, the Heathers and the Amandas as the most popular painter name. If you added the four no "h" Sarahs to the list, their lead would have been even more impressive.

- Jennifer - 7
- Karen - 7
- Emma - 7
- Julia - 6
While we do have some kids and teenagers painting this year, most of us are... a little bit older.
