Last night, I noticed a tiny seam on my official NaMoPaiMo model. mo
I cleaned it up, but waited until this morning to reprime. Then, since I wanted to give the primer time to cure, I headed to the barn to see Olive.
I had planned a quick, bareback toodle, but the weather was nice and my friends were willing so instead, I saddled up and headed down the trail.
We didn't get far before disaster struck. One of the horses - not Olive - misstepped and fell over on top of his rider. It was a really hard fall, and the rest of my day was spent at a series of hospitals.
In the end there were no broken bones and just a shadow of a concussion - thank goodness for helmets! - but wow, that was a long day.
I got home just in time for Heather Bullach's Oil Painting Zoom class. I was in no shape to paint, but I had fun listening and watching.

Today's NaMoPaiMo Champion of the Day is Heather Bullach. Thank you for making oils so much less scary. I am looking forward to actually participating in next week's class.
And with that, I'm off to bed. I didn't do any of the things I'd planned to do done today, but that's okay. Everyone lived, and tomorrow will be better.

Whew! What a day you’ve had. I hope tomorrow is much calmer. BTW, Heather’s class IS awesome!
ReplyDeleteHow scary! That could have been another incident like the poor young girl from fox lea. So glad it had a much more positive outcome, even if it did unfortunately end in a concussion. I hope horse and rider continue to be okay, and everyone continues to ride with the as a safety buddy!
ReplyDeleteIs it my imagination, or is that a heart on Butterbean's neck...?
ReplyDeleteI am so glad everyone is safe. This is why you wear a helmet. 🙏🐎
