NaMoPaiMo day twelve

Today is the twelfth day of NaMoPaiMo, and I am weary.

It's not a NaMoPaiMo issue.

By all appearances, the event is going well.

Everyone's chugging along, working on their horses.

There hasn't been any drama at all.

No,  it's not a NaMo issue, more of a life issue. Or issues, as the case may be.

Today, instead of spending a lot of time on the computer, I practiced a little self care. I hung out with Ryan and his cat.
I spent time with James and the dogs.
I went on a walk with Olive.
Oh, yeah. I also painted both of my horses.
There was a little mishap with Butterbean's drier so I won't be shocked if there are problems later.
But at least for now, I'm happy with both of them.
In the midst of all of that, the mailman brought me a really delightful card from Sue Rowe.
This isn't the first time I've received a little something from Sue.
She has an uncanny knack for sending encouraging words exactly when I need them the most.
And not just to me. She is a reliably thoughtful and upbeat member of the NaMoPaiMo community.

Thank you, Sue, for being you. You are the NaMoPaiMo Champion of the Day.
Congratulations, Sue, and good job to everyone who painted today. And if you didn't paint, that's okay, too. Self care is important. Maybe when this is over we can all get together and bitch complain about our day!

  1. I've known Sue Rowe since the 80s, and in all that time, reliably encouraging is exactly what she's been. She does sometimes send cards and I do put them on my wall. Last BF we had an hour together and that was heaven.
