NaMoPaiMo day sixteen

Today was another long, busy day for me. I wasn't able to check in the group page until this evening. There I found the usual, happy mix of people dusting,

One thing I did not expect to see was this.

Earlier in the week, Carly suffered the unexpected and tragic loss of her young mustang mare, Monroe.

I assumed - and I think Carly assumed - that was the end of her NaMoPaiMo journey. And it was, for a day or two. Then this happened.

Nothing can replace Monroe, but I hope this model - and the NaMoPaiMo community - helped make the loss a little more bearable. We all loved Monroe, and we love you, Carly. You are the NaMoPaiMo Champion of the Day.

Today was a hard. Here's looking forward to an easier tomorrow, with lots and lots and lots of painting.
