Daniel Jackson Buxton

We are a family of animal lovers, so I was not surprised that one of the first things Ryan did after he moved out was to adopt some animals of his own.

Yoda and Soda were sweet, charming companions. Unfortunately, even by rat standards, their lives were extremely short.

Ryan decided he needed a pet with a longer shelf life, so this time, he got a cat.

Meet Daniel Jackson Buxton.

He was a captured stray, who came into the shelter pretty beat up. 

No one knows his history, but this much is clear: He wants to be a pet.

Here's Ryan describing his personality to me.

I love petting, but I try not to ever force myself on an animal - especially a cat - so I waited for him to come to me.

It hasn't even been two days, but already, Daniel is completely at home.

I am so happy for both of them.
