Road trip wrap up

On Mother's Day, Seth, Piper and I said goodbye to Maybell... 

and hit the road.

We saw a big flock of goats near the side of the road.

Seth pulled over so I could take pictures.

I guess we brake for goats, too.

We drove by rivers...

and mountains...

and arrived in Steamboat Springs just in time for lunch.

We explored the town...

and did a little window shopping.

Then we got serious about finding a dog friendly place to eat. A lot of places wanted to give me a Mimosa...

but you know, I'm really more of a Margarita girl!

Happily, we found a great Mexican eatery right by the river.

I could have stayed there all day watching - and listening to - the water.

But home was calling. 

We got back in the car and drove into the rain.

Home is where the wet, grumpy pony is.

What an amazing couple of days it had been!

I'm so glad we visited - and survived! - Sand Wash Basin.

I can't wait to see where we go for our anniversary trip next year!
