Home again, home again

I had a nice week in Sacramento

In addition to the fun local hobbyist dinner on Monday,
I also got to spend a day with my sister, which was pretty great.
Unusual for me, I didn't take many photos.
Folsom Lake
This was an exception, but longtime readers know I always brake for horses.
Most of the photos I did take were of the beautiful new Sacramento store...
and its cavernous backroom.
These were mostly for my coworkers in Colorado.
This one is for my blog readers.
I very much enjoyed working there. It was more hours than I usually put in, but the staff and customers were so nice, the time passed quickly.
Still, home is where the horse, dogs and family is, so I was more than ready to turn in my rental car, get on a plane and fly back to Colorado yesterday.
My best barn buddy, Karen, picked me up and took me straight to the barn. We saddled up and hit the trail.
It's been a long time since I rode in tennis shoes!
I wish I could say Olive was good, but that would not be the entire truth. She was very good part of the time, but also, I had to get off twice.
She did go right across this stream, which is deeper and faster than it's been in a long, long time.
Sigh. I wish we could get through this phase, but I missed her regardless.
It's nice to be home.
And with that, regular posting should resume, but not today. I'm tired. Probably tomorrow.

  1. You've earned your rest.

Good work telling the "entire truth" about the pony! Role model,...
