A couple weeks ago, I accidentally let myself get promoted. In addition to a little more responsibility and a slightly enhanced paycheck, this put me in the pool of employees who are occasionally asked to fill in at other stores. I didn't expect anything to come of that - especially not this soon - but life is funny. Last Sunday I found myself heading to the airport in the midst of another big rain storm.
My destination: Sacramento!
Despite turbulence warnings on both ends of the journey, the flight was smooth and uneventful. I arrived in warm, blessedly dry California as the sun was setting.
I picked up my rental car and headed to the hotel. Not going to lie, it's been a long time since I went on a real business trip. I was feeling ridiculously pleased with myself.
The next morning I got bright and early and drove that car...
to the brand Sacramento store.
It's so fresh and clean inside!
I thought the traveling tack shop days were part of my past, but apparently not.
Life is funny. Life is good.
