Preview of coming attractions

The first four months of 2019 have been defined by model horse events.

The year started with a whole bunch of NaMoPaiMo prep...

and a trip to California for Kylee Parks' wonderful Super-CALI-Fragilistic Live.

February was NaMoPaiMo.

The first half of March was also NaMoPaiMo. Clearly, NaMoPaiMo is the gift that keeps on giving.

The second half of March was all about BreyerWest.

April was the month of Candyland Live.

All of this has been so much fun...

but I am so tired.

Fortunately, I don't have any model horse events planned for May or June. Oh, there are some local-ish shows I could attend if I really wanted to, but truthfully, I'd rather stay home and prepare for the next burst of model horse awesomeness.

I will be attending BreyerFest in July. Braymere Custom Saddlery and NaMoPaiMo will have a table in the Artisans' Gallery, and I will also judge the scene classes at the Youth and Children's Show.

After that, the focus switches to the Jennifer Show, which will happen September 14 and 15 at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in Aurora, Colorado. 

Jennifer Scott and I have so many wonderful ideas - and prizes - for this year's show. I really hope everyone will come join in the fun.

The Jennifer Show would be a fitting end to my Year of Over-commitment to the Model Horse Hobby, but no... I have another show in October.

Nae Keller's Battle of the Breeds was so much fun last year. Even though the timing is kind of terrible for me, I am really looking forward to taking another swing at her breeds based performance class list. 

In fact, I'm already low-key working on my entries.

So that's what's the next six months are going to look like around here, at least as far as the model horse stuff goes. I don't know where I'm going to find the energy for all of it, but I am excited!
