Full unpainted circle

Last night a group of us got together to eat, drink and be merry. It was a fairly typical hobby gathering, at least until Karen Gerhardt brought in a big tub of giveaway items. Then, it was like Christmas!
Teresa got a blue stablemate and a Juniper resin.

I took home a Sarah Rose Mindy resin with two broken ears and a beautiful Kate Schick paintjob.

I can fix the ears, but I don't collect minis. This one will eventually be sold to help finance my next big hobby project.
I also got one of the two artist proof Caprice models.
These were originally made for members of Karen's family, but sadly, in recent years, some have found their way back to her.
This made the return trip in a padded envelope, hence his many injuries.
Although technically painted, he is essentially an unfinished resin. This means my hobby year ends as it began.
Despite my good intentions...
it's been a year filled...
with unpainted resins.
This isn't even all of them.
Since it's become increasingly clear that I can't/won't stop adding unpainted resins to my collection, I've decided that 2017 will be the year of paint. I'll have some really exciting news on that topic in the next week or so. Stay tuned. I promise it will be worth the wait.

  1. Where did you get the Arabian resin that's walking?

    Ive always wanted that one!

  2. I bought that one from a friend. She's painted now.
