Under the big top

For the last two weeks, this advertisement has been front and center on my refrigerator door.
Square pads for ten dollars?  Ariats for one hundred and ten?  Who can resist prices like those?
Not me!  This morning Carol and I got up bright and early and headed out to Dover Saddlery in Parker, Colorado.
Like everyone else...
we started our shopping in the tent.
The budget priced Ariat selection wasn't the best, but there were lots of ten dollar square pads.  Rev is a sweaty thing, so I stocked up!
I also bought a $2.78 lead rope.  Technically, I did not need a new lead rope, but I liked it and it was only $2.78.   Who can resist a $2.78 lead rope?!
Eventually we moved into the store, and I continued to find things I couldn't live without.
I also spent a little time researching items in the order queue.  Alicia Vogel, this picture is for you!
Meanwhile, Carol did some shopping of her own.
"Does this helmet make me look like a mushroom head?"
It's been twenty years since Carol's last riding lesson, but now she's ready to get back in the saddle.  Hurray!
No mushrooms here!
Me and my loot.
We stood in line to make our purchases...
and then headed out to the barn to show Rev all his new stuff.  Doesn't he look excited?
The Dover tent sale continues throughout the weekend.  Don't miss it if you live near Parker and "need" a $2.78 lead rope!

  1. Aha!
Just the thing for being 'Out of Sorts' -
    Retail therapy!!

  2. If decapitating things doesn't work, then it's time to go shopping!

  3. I have to drive 3 hours to the nearest dover and dover is heaven to sad, so sad.

  4. I wish Flick's needs were as cheap as the lead rope. (i'm good on those and saddle pads, for now.) He needs fly gear ...

    Wish me luck!

  5. There's fly gear in the tent... Or at least there was today! Hope it's still there for you tomorrow!

  6. Congrats on your loot! I like that last picture. Rev looks like he's happy to see you

  7. That's so cool, we have the same tent sales over here in Holland. And I always buy more than I need just because it's so cheap!

  8. Fantastic stuff and yay, HELMET!! MORE helmets. FREE helmets to all who rides, loves their family and sure do not want to end up as a veggie with a banged in head. SUPERDUPER!! :-D
