A+ Day

What a wonderful day of horse racing!  Goldikova, Uncle Mo and Blame were amazing and Zenyatta proved that a perfect record isn't the only measure of a champion.  Here's hoping her connections will bring her back in 2011.
In other news, I finally finished those saddles.
This was a really good day all the way around.  Hope it's the start of a new trend!

  1. I was in physical pain after watching that heart pounding Classic tonight. Zenyatta is a true champion. I wish her all the best in her future.

Thanks for putting her in your blog.

  2. This was Zenyatta's second appearance on my blog. You can see the first one here.

Myself, I was pleased with the Classic result. I thought Zenyatta showed more class in that one Grade 1 defeat than she ever could in her long string of Grade 2 and 3 wins. I wish her connections would have spent less time protecting that perfect record and run her where she belonged. She is an amazing mare and deserves to race against the best in the world.

  3. It looked to me as though she nearly "lost it" mentally on the way to be saddled and again before loading in the gate. Was I the only one who was looking at a really worked up and upset horse?

When I saw how far back she was early I was concerned that something devastating had I'm glad that she's OK.
