Maritza, Celina, Graciela, BABUSHKA , Monica, California, Dina, Diana, Elita, et cetera (quite literally, I could go on and on ) (Also, I apologize if this shows up semi-literally twenty million times on here- I’ve been trying to publish this one comment for awhile ♀️ anyone else have this trouble in iPhones?)
Question: For lipizzaners, isn't the rule that you give the horse the name of BOTH the sire and the dam (ie: Maestro Alba)--or is that just for the stallions?? (Sorry if this has been brought up--I don't follow Facebook)
My research indicates that it's only the stallion who gets the two word name. Mares typically get a one word name that ends with A. Stallions get the family name (Pluto, Siglavy, etc) plus the mare's name.
I pride myself on naming horses, but these comments put me to shame! So here's my votes: Graciela, Marinara, Aurora, Flavia, and my absolute favorite, Carbonara.

ReplyDeleteSo far the blog suggestions are better than the Facebook suggestions! I like all three of these.

ReplyDeleteMarietta -- from the operetta "Naughty Marietta," -- although, come to think of it, "Operetta" would work too.
