It seems as if everyone I know has packed their bags and hit the road this week.
And all those roads lead to Kentucky.
It's easy to feel sad and lonely when you're not attending BreyerFest.
This morning I distracted myself by putting together and mailing care packages to my two best friends.
That made me feel better, so I decided to hold a small blog giveaway for people who are not attending BreyerFest. From now through Sunday, every comment left on this blog will equal one raffle entry. Old post, new post--it just doesn't matter. Multiple entries are fine, but multiple, pointless, one-word comments will be ignored. I'll choose two winners at random on Sunday evening. First place winner gets a nameplate halter.
Second place winner gets a custom beer holder with beer. Good luck to all my fellow StayAtHomeFesters!

It’s so great that you are doing something fun for us stay-at-homes!
ReplyDeleteThe hold my beer saddle attachment is the best.
ReplyDeleteAw sweet idea. It's tough when you have to stay home. :(
ReplyDeleteHow cool! Have never been able to go to Bfest because this time of year is the busiest for us at work. Hard to get away. Best wishes to all those who are at Bfest and to those who couldn't make it!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea! I've always wanted to go to Breyerfest but never had a chance. hopefully one day it'll happen!
ReplyDelete~Frances
Thanks for holding a giveaway! I've been curing the not going to breyerfest blues today by making tack and hoping that an Icabad Crane comes up for sale in the near future :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, one of my resins name is Eowyn! A Tinkerbell by Tumlinson, she would look pretty awesome with that halter ;) LOTR for the win!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet idea, and very generous too! :) I hope you have a fun weekend planned to combat the BF-blues!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome thing you're doing! I've been to three past Breyerfest and hope to attend another down the road. Alas, not this year though.
ReplyDeleteLOL That's awesome. :) I've decided I am going to **attempt** to get a head start on next year's trip to Breyerfest. We will see how that goes. Last year I said the same thing about the customs contest entry, and never even started. Derp. I hope you can come next year too!!
ReplyDeleteWatching the pictures of Kentucky and love seeing the horses and some of the people.
ReplyDeleteI think it’s wonderful that you’re doing this. I’m lucky enough to have gone a couple of times when I lived in Illinois 18 years ago, but California is a bit of a drive. - Michelle
ReplyDeleteI'm so far it's more "Stay at home and watch the plane departure with a sigh fest" for me, haha...
ReplyDeleteThanks for cheering us!
You never fail to keep the model horse community a positive and inclusive environment! Thanks for hosting this!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to BF... yet. Thank goodness we have so many wonderful hobby friends for vicarious thrills. :) And thank you, Jennifer, for this fun idea!
ReplyDeleteI so wanted to go to BF this year, but the bills had to come first. Oh well, I know that BF isn't going to end all together anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping me smiling
No BF for me. I'm home doing the usual. Working on a costume and ready to wrap it up, hopefully tonight. Thanks for cheering us up with a give away.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jennifer, for brightening the day of those of us who can't get to BF this year. You are one heck of a generous lady
ReplyDeleteI'll tell you the same thing I said to try and cheer up Nichelle (of Desktop Stables)...
ReplyDeletePlease don’t feel blue. I’ve NEVER, ever been to Breyerfest and I don’t see it happening anytime soon or maybe even ever… We can watch from the sidelines together. :)
This is the best idea ever! The halter is gorgeous! I’ve missed BF for many years now, but was there the first years. 💕
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea for those of us stuck at home. Of all the Breyerfests, this is the one I'd have most wanted to go to, with the racing theme.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love the drink holder!
I don't get to ANY shows at the moment!
ReplyDeleteNever been to Breyer fest . I am hoping someday too . Some of my tack has been there ,sadly never me . Love your name halters and that beer holder is so cool .
ReplyDeleteThat beer holder is so funny lol. Thanks for holding a giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love your nameplate haters! But that beer holder is super fun, too.
ReplyDeleteGoodness! Lots of remarks already! I love the beer or cola holder. Can just see a cowboy out doing choirs carrying an insulated mug full of whatever.....lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightfully brilliant way to enjoy the festivities without leaving home. Thank you Jennifer for being so cool!
ReplyDeleteYAY, Thank you for the raffle. I hope I win.
ReplyDeleteI'm another stayathomefester. :( I've been to a few NANs/BFs and keep saying I'll go back but something else always comes up. I am signed up for the 5K as a virtual runner so will be doing that on Sunday morning at a nearby park. I'll be walking most of it though, I haven't run in a while. Jennifer, it's really nice of you to do the raffle!
ReplyDeleteStay at home here too! Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI came so close to be a go-er this year, but, like you, I had to cancel.
ReplyDeleteThank you for having a give-away. I love the beer holder.
On Tuesday evening I had a fleeting thought of jumping in my truck and hightailing it to Kentucky...but it was only there for a few seconds before I started to think about why I couldn't go again this year, Palomino World Show in MS next week! So, thank you for thinking of all of us stay at home model folks! I appreciate it very much!!!
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, thrilled your doing something for the rest of us at home. I did travel this week.... for work. Booooo!!!! Bfest would have been more fun. But the pay check is helpful sooo.... =)
ReplyDeleteToo hot, too far, too much money. Retired. Love the idea of your raffle. The beer holder looks cute.
ReplyDeleteBreyerfest is always on a payroll weekend for me, which means i cannot attend. I just live thru the pictures.. i would love to win a raffle, thank you so much for this opportunity
ReplyDeleteCeCe, are you in accounting? Always fun to find other accountants in the model horse world!
DeleteHello Jennifer! Thanks for doing the raffle for those us who can't make Breyerfest this year. I really loved your post with all of the NAN performance entries! Please keep all of those NAN pictures coming!!! Helps to ease thespian of not being there!
ReplyDeleteThis is a marvelous idea. You’re not the only one still home!
ReplyDeleteStayAtHome Fest!
ReplyDeleteLove you and your generosity. It was a thrill to get to meet you last year and buy a halter... that I lost before I even left the hotel. Argh!
Thanks a million for doing this. We can have fun at home!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a cool idea! I had the thought today that I wish I could organize some sort of virtual event for those of us who can't attend every year.
ReplyDeletePHoo...I posted this on my phone and it didn't realize who I was.
DeleteWhat a wonderful idea, another one, like NaMoPaiMo although its completely understandable if you are not opening this internationally. I utterly admire your tack/props/creations and enjoy your humour, yours was the very first model horse tack I ever came across on the web.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool. Thanks for doing this! Love your work!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I’m sorry you couldn’t make it. I’m hoping to go next year.
ReplyDeleteCool idea! Sad I can't go this year
ReplyDeleteThank you for this! I've only ever been to one live show before and didn't know what was going on at the time.
ReplyDeleteA raffle DOES help chase away the blues a little. Whoot!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Jennifer! I'm loving the hold my beer horn holder but think I would also need saddle bag soft sided coolers and maybe even fender beer holders too. 😁😁😁
ReplyDeleteFrom this one little comment, an entire scene class entry has been envisioned...
Delete:D
I predict Jose will be involved!
DeleteI haven't been able to go to Breyerfest for several years now due to a financial situation and i am stalking all of my fruends on social media who are going, just to get a glimpse! What a wonderful idea to do this for all of us stuck at home!
ReplyDeleteYou rock :)
ReplyDeleteWoo! This is awesome!!! What a lovely thing to do!
ReplyDeleteAwsome giveaway! Thank you, Jennifer! Because i am from Austria it isn`t easy for me to get to Breyerfest, but i hope some day i will! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain, staying at home sucks!
ReplyDeleteFun--Virtual Breyer Fest Raffle!
ReplyDeleteI also have a resin named EOWYN!! She's the Tracy Caller Arista you see here in my profile picture--in fact, it was taken at Region X in 2014--AND YOU ARE IN THE BACKGROUND!
Thanks!
My work conflict cleared up, but I was only given about 3 weeks notice--too late to enter NAN, and it usually takes me at lease 18 months of saving to have enough money set aside to swing it. So I doubly feel sorry for myself now--thanks for the bit of fun!
ReplyDeletethis picture of you at TRXC!! did not realize if I signed with my full name it would remove the photo!
DeleteCount me among those staying at home! Thank you for the thoughtful giveaway. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so kind of you and such a great idea! Thank you! :D
ReplyDeleteI wish I could go to Breyerfest but for us in Europe it is probably even more difficult to do. So, I'm staying home as well :)
What a lovely and thoughtful idea/giveaways :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe 1 year I'll get to go and even take my daughter too.
- Annmarie Pottrell
What a sweet idea from you!
ReplyDeleteI would be the happiest person if I would be able to attend BreyerFest but for people which are from Europe is difficult to go to Kentucky :(
awesome idea!
ReplyDeleteme and the other dutch collectora all.have the dream to attend bf one day, but since its quite and expensive dream it will probably still take a while ;)
so this helps a lot ^^
One day I will get to BF ... It's a dream of mine to go.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to have a giveaway :D
Jackie Radwanski
Yay this is great idea !
ReplyDeleteRegards for all non Breyerfest people :)

DeleteThis is so generous of you - here's to all of us at-homers! (deleted the first post, due to typo!)
I too am watching the 'fest from afar! I'm distracting myself with making a rainbow halter for my new prism, who I just love
ReplyDeleteAw this is so sweet that you are doing this! I love it. Here's to all the not-going-to-breyerfest peeps! ;D
ReplyDeleteAlthough I've always wished I could go to Breyerfest, in reality, I know I'd never survive the lines! I really enjoy seeing all the photos posted by our fellow hobby enthusiasts. It's *almost* as fun as being there!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go there someday. I'm enjoying the heck out of the photos and stories and how fun you're doing this! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI went to Breyerfest in 2014, what a time! Wish I could go back but sports and school are restricting me this year!
ReplyDeleteNot at Breyerfest this year, decided it is too darn hot in July. I may go next year for the 30th anniversary one.
ReplyDeleteThank you for holding the giveaway! These items are awesome! I wish I could have made it to breyerfest this year, there were so many incredible models!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome Jen I love the beer holder ( may have to make me a Starbucks coffee cup holder lol !!! Next year we will meet in Kentucky... can’t wait! And I have no idea if my comment will post lol - maire
ReplyDeleteYay a giveaway!it's so nice of you to do this for those of us who aren't going. Horsegirl275
ReplyDeleteI've only just started to nose my way back into the hobby over the past few months after having collected casually as a kid - it was painful to see everyone en route to KHP and showing off their hauls when I really just wanted to jump in my car and make the 8-hour haul to Kentucky after work Friday! I will definitely be there next year, though - hope you can make it as well Jenn!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this fabulous giveaway! I've been away from the hobby for a looong time, and just stumbled across your blog and Breyerfest. Read in the comments that next year is the 30th Anniv -- hope we all make it there. One year to get prepped :) thanks again, NH
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice idea! I can't go to Breyerfest anymore, either, but it is fun to read all the nice post. I'm a huge fan of your blog and stuff you create!
ReplyDeleteI'm luckenbachranch amd logged in like that, but the blog didn't post that somehow
