Definately a SS rat. Look at that high head carriage, perfect parked out stance, saddle back on his back to allow the forward front end movement so desired.
I was going to vote dressage but then I took a second look after reading the comments and I agree he is very versatile. (also very cute and looks like my old rat, Hobbes)
I have to say, there is nothing like a rat in a saddle to brighten up a person's day!
Probably not important to anyone who isn't a Buxton, but my kids want me to point out that Basil is a GIRL rat. I know it's obvious from her name, but she's definitely not a he.
Heh, cool. As a kid I had a pink eyed white rat named Donna. And a white toy horse with somesort of rubber bridle and rubber saddle that were removable. And I used to dress up the rat with that tack. Oddly she was not disturbed at all and wearing a bridle (without a bit ofcorse, more like headcollar) did not seem to bother here while she was searching for hidden treats from my room.
Later i had couple of jumping rats. I trained them for rat agility. We never compeated but they really enjoied it.
Jennifer, I totally love that after a post about lack of enthusiasm about your blog, we get rats in saddles. I may have to steal this method on my blog - I just have to figure out which cat will both look the cutest with a western saddle on, and will hold still for long enough to get a photo!
He is the most impossibly CUTE rat in the world!
ReplyDeleteAwww, definitely the most tolerant ratty and pretty at that.
ReplyDeletePerhaps a racing rat?
ReplyDeleteHe's versatile enough to do both, in my opinion. LOL
ReplyDeleteLord, help me. My daughter is crazy!
ReplyDeleteI think your mom means daughters!

ReplyDeleteI especially like how he is parked out for the saddleseat picture.
