Yeah, 28 days is two days too short for making four saddles...I made three, but I already have two lined up for March. Maybe we can make it a "team goal" - we both make four saddles in March!
It really wasn't the short month that did me in so much as the fact that I'd planned to make two Portuguese saddles... Those are soooooo much more work than a regular saddle. It didn't take me long to figure out that I wasn't going to be able to make them assembly line style.
Next month should be really fun but also really busy. I have two live shows, one in Colorado and one in Illinois. I'm also planning a trip to the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo, plus one of my kids has a birthday and birthday party and then both have Spring Break. Realistically, I don't expect it to be a good month for tackmaking.
Regan is arranging for me to put my hands on a Portuguese saddle at the Horse Expo. Trust me, there will be LOTS of pictures. I am also really excited about the trip to Illinois. I'll be sharing a room with Tiffany so you know that's going to be a blast. I am having trouble working up enthusiasm for the Colorado show, though...
Don't be too hard on yourself - it was a short month. :)

Always remember, it's -quality- not quantity! ;)
ReplyDeleteMarch might not met your goals for tack making but wow - it will be really fun! Can't wait to see pictures from your travels and shows!
