Snow Leopard through the years

More old pictures...

This is Snow Leopard circa 1983.  He is wearing the first halter I ever made.
I wasn't pleased with that first picture, so I tried it again a few years later...
and then again in 1989!
That last picture isn't half bad, but I still think I can do better.  So here's my first hobby related New Year's resolution for 2011: I am going to get my camera fixed and take a brand new show photo of Snow Leopard!

    One of your old models that you've kept? He seems to be in pretty good condition (or at least he was 30-ish years). He's cute, though! :)

    Cute! I can't wait to see the new photo for 2011. :)

    I remember taking pictures of my Proud Arabs on my Dad's front porch. There were these posts that to my kid mind looked just like columns from old Egyptian temple. One photo of my PAS came out rather nice and actually placed at one of Alison Benuish's photos shows!

    I love Snow Leopard! That horse is the only model I ever got for Christmas and I wanted him so bad. My girlfriend had one and I borrowed him for the weekends all the time until I got my very own. Mine is named Quanitas Brave and he still wins at the model shows. I'll have to get a pic of him too :D I have oldies of him in my red hunt seat set somewhere.

    It's amazing that you still have so many of your original models. I think the oldest horses in my collection are the hand-me-downs I got from my mom. One is the Clydesdale mare and the other is the Alabaster fighting stallion. Both are older than I am but will always be part of my collection ☺

    I love the old pictures! You show such wonderful horses with such great tack in every post, but somehow the old pictures have such a special feeling, even if one may think that today one could get better pictures. I have not been in the hobby that long ("only" eight years now)and I sure love some glimpses into "history".

    I still have most of my really old Breyers. Somehow I can't bring myself to cull any of my childhood friends. Now, the horses I bought later on... sometimes I just wish someone would come and take them all away for me! Does anyone want a bunch of common 1990's regular runs in good but not mint condition? Yeah, I didn't think so! :)

    hey, Id love them,LOL. The old 1990s ones hold a special place for me. My collection was just really getting going back then. I started showing then and really had fun with those regular runs.

    Do you have experience taking photo show pics? I don't remember if you've said it before. I have never been good at it, even though I'm decent at taking photos, so didn't know if you had any advice.
