Cowboy Tea Party

Weekends are family time and this weekend the Buxton Family headed up to Brighton Feed and Saddlery to attend their annual Cowboy Tea Party and Customer Appreciation Celebration.
We ate,
and drank,
and spent a lot of time inspecting the merchandise.
Brighton Feed is the premier Western tack shop in the Rocky Mountain region.  Their selection of all things horse related is second to none.  This is just part of their wall of bits!
There are more than three hundred and fifty new and used saddles in the store at any given time.  Although all types and styles are represented, Brighton Feed is probably best known for its amazing selection of custom and custom production Wade and ranch type saddles.
Stacks and stacks of beautiful saddles!
Even if  you're not a horse person, there's something for everyone at Brighton Feed.  James had a great time sitting on this McCall Lady Wade.
He was even more impressed with the extensive selection of pocket knives.  Uh oh, guess what's been added to his Christmas list!
And for anyone who was wondering what to buy Seth for Christmas...  I think he wants one of these hair on calf rodeo pillows!
Way back in the days before I had children, I was the Tack Buyer/Inventory Control Specialist at Brighton Feed.  It was a wonderful job and all these years later, Verna and Roger still treat me like part of their family.  I had a great time visiting the store today, and am already looking forward to next year's Cowboy Tea Party!

  1. Hey...the hubby informed me that there's a Murdoch's going in at 92nd & Wadsworth. I like their selection better than Brighton and they have clothes, with clearance racks.

Both stores are evil though to my pocketbook.

  2. Wow - what a store! I love your pictures Jennifer.
