NaMoPaiMo is a one month event that takes place in February. But also, NaMoPaiMo is an every day celebration of art, artists, horses and community. Here's a fun story about some of this year's post-February doings.
Moosaloosa's Antlers
by Julie Brooks
This year I picked a gangly, no-name resin type horse for NaMo and painted him into a leopard appaloosa. Not my best effort, but it was cathartic.
When he was finished, I took a really close look at him and thought, he really looks like a moose with that big 'ol thick head and long legs. So my husband and I laughed about naming him Moosaloosa.
I posted him to the "I did it!" album and shared a story about his name. Then Jess Oglesbee contacted me about making him some moose antlers. So we talked about the best way to do it, and Jess made these wonderful antlers on a headband just for him.
I am so appreciative to her for making these. We had so much fun talking about it, and I've gained a new friend. This is such a cool community of folks! So without further delay, here is Moosaloosa with his antlers!
I love everything about this! Thank you, Julie and Jess!P.S. Moosifer wants to know where his antlers are!
