Toy and Doll Supershow

On Sunday, I attended the Toy and Doll Supershow at the National Western Hall of Education with my friend, Angelo, his wife Tori, her sister, Rissa and Rissa's child, Len. 

As its implies, this was a big, indoor swap meet for collectors of toys...

and dolls.

Angelo and I collect horses...

and horses were everywhere.

Barbie dolls.

Barbie horses.

Action figures.

Action figure horses.

Plushies.

Plushie horses.

So,

so,

so many My Little Ponies.

No surprise, most of the horses fell squarely into  the toy category.

However, there were also some actual models. 

These included a lot of Hartlands.

I wanted a better look at the saddle...

a revealed a glimpse of his original color.

I had no idea this was a Breyer until Angelo clued me in.

Live and learn.

For the most part, prices were exceedingly reasonable...

and we spent a happy couple of hours perusing the offerings.

Along the way, we met a pigeon named David.

We asked if we could pet him. His owner said yes, but warned us that we'd probably get pecked. We did!

He was wearing the cutest little outfit.

Heh.

I could tell you a story about this little doodad...

but, alas, I have been sworn to secrecy.

Suffice it to say, this was a really fun day, and of course, no one went home empty handed. Can you guess which horses we bought? Answers under the jump!Here are Angelo's new ponies...

I bought the kit horses for Angelo and I to assemble during one of our informal days.
