One month ago today, Olive and Kaffi "spoke" to an animal communicator over the phone. Karen and I were both present. She held the phone, and I took copious notes - two pages for each horse. This post and the one that follows are written directly from those notes. For the sake of brevity, I will be saying things like "Olive stated" and "Kaffi asked." Of course, neither one of them opened their mouths and spoke. This was all done through the communicator. You can decide for yourself if she was speaking for them or just telling us things she thought we wanted to hear. It's your choice and I am not offended either way.
The first thing Olive said after we "opened the channel" was, "I am the princess."
She followed that with, "I am amazingly beautiful."
Then the communicator told me, "She is taking my hand and saying she wants me to touch her hair and skin. She is very clean and soft.
Also, she wants you to know that she is a good weight, not fat."
On the topic of food, she said she liked apples and carrots, both of which she gets on a regular basis.
Then the communicator paused and said, "I'm getting a picture. I see something in a hand, it's black and about the size of the palm. Oh, it's a muffin. There are grains in it."
Now, this was interesting because just the day before I'd brought her a couple muffin treats from a broken container at work. I don't usually buy those because they really are sugar bombs, but yes, I do know that Olive loves them. She has made that abundantly clear.
Then it was on to the questions. My first two queries were: Of all the things we do on a regular basis, which would you like to do more and which would you like to do less?
Olive said she likes to go on trail rides. She likes being away from the barn and looking at new things. She expressed an interest in obstacle courses - something that was notably lacking at the most recent barn party - and jumping, noting that repetition was boring for her, and she likes to do different things.
At this point, she said I should loosen up, that I'm tense between the shoulder blades and, "this is supposed to be fun."
She said she likes walking on a lead like a dog, but groundwork is boring, flatwork is boring, and she doesn't like working on kindergarten stuff.
Then the communicator said, "I don't think she's a dressage horse, but she's showing me a dressage move. She says she already knows how to be ridden, and I need to step things up."
It was about this time that the communicator observed that Olive seemed like a smart, funny horse with a need to move.
In regards to my question about pain, Olive first indicated that one of us was sore in the shoulder blade/wither area. When I pressed the issue and asked about her feet, I was told that Olive had concerns about her left hind foot being rough. It did, in fact, have some minor chipping. There was nothing about front hoof heal pain, which makes me think that perhaps the communicator did not find this blog. Lol.
Other revelations, aside from the very funny and sweet assessment of our relationship recounted in an earlier post, included a statement of dental health, a preference for clean water and the surprising claim that Olive is friends with a fox and a cow.
The fox could reasonably be a coyote or one of my dogs, but a cow? To the best of my knowledge, Olive has never met a cow. I asked if she perhaps meant a pig. The communicator said, "Olive is laughing at the pig. She says the pig is fat."
She also said that morning is Olive's favorite time of day. She likes the sunshine and the briskness, and also, that's when I come.
In regards to her past, the communicator said Olive doesn't think about that. It was a long time ago and isn't relevant. She likes where she is now, and she really likes that she is appreciated. She never felt appreciated before coming here.
There was also something about a red bucket. It was important, but the communicator couldn't tell me why. This is a little like the cow. At least as far as the last several years go, Olive's life has been completely red bucket free.As her session came to an end, Olive left us and went back to eating. It was now Kaffi's turn.

Oooh I have a thought about the red bucket! Horses cannot see the color red, so my thought is that the red is symbolic somehow. What ideas or feelings do you associate with the color red, and can any of those apply to the buckets in Olive's life?
ReplyDelete(Grin!) Where's the popcorn emoji when you need it?? I'm dying to hear what Kaffi has to say with his naughty self!(hah!)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Olive!! She's so sure and full of herself--so of course, what's she been saying is *true*!!
Have one question tho---*if*she likes trail rides and the obstacle course like the communicator says she does, then *why* when you put her through her paces, does she give you attitude from time to time?? (Now this I gathered from previous posts you made about your adventures!!) Just curious!
As hard as it is to imagine these animal communicators sometimes, they really say the most relevant stuff! I was amazed when my horse got done. I would love to do it again.
