July is officially BreyerFest season. On Sunday, Karen Gerhardt drove from her home in Edwards to Colorado Springs to deliver two tubs of models for transport to Kentucky. On the way, she stopped in Denver for a fun hobby lunch with Fabian, Teresa, Heather and I.
Typical for Karen, she came bearing gifts. This is mine.
At first I was a tiny bit confused. Then I remembered...
Most of our time was spent outside with our dogs.
However, we did slip into the house for a little bit to admire Karen's friends' china collection.
There were a number of little Hagen Renaker horses, many of them broken. Karen took possession of most of them, saying that she would fix them in her kiln and give them to us.
It took a while, but that's exactly what she did!
The repair is so expertly done, I can't even tell where he was broken.Thank you, Karen. I'm so happy to have this little guy standing on my shelf, and I hope you have a most amazing BreyerFest!
